We are ending this year glad and satisfied. The hard work of the past years has paid off in many areas. We have received several awards for the Ankaran cemetery, starting with the Plečnik Award 2025, followed by the OHS Award, the ZAPS Golden Pencil Award, and the Piranesi 2025 Honourable Mention, and we were also nominated for the Mies van der Rohe Award. This year, the Plečnik Medal was also awarded to the kindergarten in Bohinj, for which we designed the immediate surroundings for children to freely play. We completed a living water reservoir in front of the new DARS Headquaters building, which is slowly developing into an ecosystem. After a year and a half of persistent persuasion we finally managed to convince the Municipality of Ljubljana’s Sports Department to replace the dead tree next to the outdoor soccer fields in Stožice. The first section of the recreational trail along the Sava River in Krško was put in use and the “rain gardens”, with which we participated in the renovation of the Transalpina railway station in Nova Gorica started to function as public spaces. Residents of the KO-RA senior citizens’ center in Ravne na Koroškem adopted their small front garden, and the refurbished embankment at Lent in Maribor has come fully to life. The planning of the Drava Cycling Route continues as well as designs for the enlargement of the village cemetery in Verd near Vrhnika. Last but not least: the Planica Nordic Ski Center just celebrated its 10th anniversary!
Happy 2026!
